The
Austin-Round Rock Orthodox Mission Station was established by a group of
Orthodox Christians with a desire to provide the North Austin and Williamson
County communities access to Orthodox worship. The Austin, Texas area is one of
the largest in the Diocese of the South without an OCA presence. Seeing the
need, Archbishop Dmitri (OCA- Diocese of the South) and Fr. Ted Pisarchuk (the
missions and evangelism director of our diocese) have given us their blessing
to begin exploring the possibility of establishing an official OCA Mission in
the Austin-Round Rock area.
We are currently looking for
Christian seekers looking for the ancient roots of Christianity. Orthodoxy is
an evangelical, prayer centered faith tracing its theology and worship to the
very truths and traditions handed directly from Christ to the Apostles. Many
people wish to leave behind the social club nature of many religious
organizations and follow Christ as the early Christians did. If you have ever
wondered what it would have been like to worship in the days following Christ's
resurrection, we invite you to experience Orthodox worship.
We will do all we can to make you
feel welcome, and there will be no pressure on you to join the Orthodox Church.
Children are always welcome. If you have any questions please contact us.
